Coraline (the Graphic Novel)

Have you read the graphic novel "Coraline"?
Well, if you haven't, you are miiiiissing out! Even though this comic was adopted from the original chapter book, it still has an exciting tingle to the story. What's more, it's not too scary (like the movie, as I've heard!) and suitable for fantasy lovers like me. The pictures give an almost animated feel to them.

The book spooked me out a little the first time I read it. With Coraline finding a magical link to another kind of world made by the evil "other mother" in the old flat her family just moved into. It was almost exactly like Coraline's real world, since the other mother could only make twisted copies of what was real.

There was a copy of her father, a copy of the two old once-ago actresses, Mrs. Spink and Mrs. Forcible, and even a copy of the crazy old man who lives upstairs!

Coraline's real mother and father are kidnapped by the other mother. Will Coraline be able to rescue them before she is turned into a ghost? Read the book to find out!

You can even find the book in our trusty old UPS library!
